Be the Face of Whanganui's New Bus Network!
Horizons Regional Council is launching a brand-new bus network in Whanganui on 17 April, and we're looking for friendly, confident Community Champions
to help make it a success.
This is a great short-term opportunity to get out in the community, help people navigate the new network, and be part of a major change to public transport in the region.
What you'll be doing
- Based at the St Hill Street Bus Hub supporting passengers across platforms
- Handing out new timetables and helping people understand the changes
- Riding buses and visiting key suburban stops and shopping centres to assist passengers
- Being a friendly, approachable face for the new transport network
What we're looking for
- Confident communicators who enjoy talking with the public
- People who can work independently and use initiative
- Friendly, reliable individuals who enjoy helping others
When
- Starting Friday 10 April for training
- Flexible hours to suit
- 3 weeks of work, covering the lead-up and launch of the new network
- Launch Day: Friday 17 April
What's provided
- Full training and briefing before you start
- A Connect T-shirt so you're easy to spot
- Support from the Horizons transport team and project lead if tricky questions arise
This is a great opportunity to represent a major public initiative, meet people from across the community, and play a key role in helping Whanganui get moving on the new network.
If you enjoy being out and about, helping people, and being part of something new, we'd love to hear from you.
