About the role 

Are you the kind of HR professional who can balance people, performance and practicality?

Hireways is looking for a People, Culture & Safety Business Partner to step into this 12-14 month full time fixed term opportunity commencing in July, partnering closely with leaders, supporting staff and keeping the business on track across HR, ER, and H&S.

This is a sole hands-on trusted advisor position where you'll influence from the ground up, rolling out recruitment processes from the start, guiding staff through issues, changes and growth opportunities, grow talent within through effective training and development and improving workplace safety systems.

What you'll be doing:
You'll work across the full people spectrum, including:

• Supporting managers with recruitment, onboarding, and performance conversations
• Providing practical ER guidance - from coaching through to handling complex issues
• Building capability through training, development and mentoring
• Composing weekly staff newsletters to keep employees informed about current events, HR updates, H&S, wellbeing and company wide initiatives
• Driving engagement, wellbeing and a positive workplace culture
• Supporting and strengthening Health & Safety systems and practices

What we're looking for:

• Solid HR Generalist experience with strong employee relations capability
• Confidence coaching and influencing managers at all levels
• A people-first approach with the ability to hold firm when needed
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Exposure to Health & Safety (even at a supporting level) is a bonus
