Marketing and Communications Manager

Location : Palmerston North

Listed : Wednesday, 5 August

Type: Permanent + fulltime

Industry :

Are you a practical, creative and commercially minded marketing all-rounder who loves turning ideas into action? This is a rare opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on marketing leadership role with a family-owned agricultural business where your work will be seen, valued and genuinely make a difference.

As ProAg's Marketing & Communications Manager, you will own the marketing function from strategy through to execution. One day you will be shaping the annual marketing plan, the next you will be planning a seasonal campaign, creating content, coordinating an event, refreshing website messaging or working alongside leadership to bring a new commercial opportunity to life.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and momentum. You will be the go-to marketing specialist in ProAg's business, trusted to bring structure, energy and fresh thinking to brand, digital, communications, campaigns and customer engagement.

Why this is more than just another marketing role

  • You will have real ownership of the marketing function, not just a narrow slice of it.
  • You will work closely with decision-makers and see the impact of your work quickly.
  • You will build campaigns that connect with practical, values-driven customers in the agricultural sector.
  • You will have variety across strategy, digital, content, events, brand and communications.
  • You will join a family-owned business that values quality, adaptability, integrity, teamwork and an ownership mindset.

What you will bring

You will be confident developing marketing plans, managing campaigns, creating strong content and keeping digital channels performing well. You will be organised, proactive and comfortable moving between big-picture thinking and hands-on delivery. Experience in agriculture or rural industries will be a real advantage.

If you are ready to take ownership of a marketing function, build a brand with purpose and contribute to the growth of a business that plays an important role in the agricultural sector, we would love to hear from you.

Apply now and tell us how your marketing experience, creativity and practical approach could help ProAg tell their story, grow their reach and strengthen their connection with customers.

This is a full time position working on site, based in Feilding. The recruitment for this role is being managed by PN Personnel. For more information, please feel free to contact Christine McAdam on 06 280 2400.
