About the Role

Join Health New Zealand as a Financial Analyst - Sustainability & Performance  in a 12 month contract position and play a key role in supporting data-informed decision making across the organisation.

Reporting to the GM Finance, you'll work closely with clinical leaders, operational managers and finance professionals to deliver insightful analysis, sustainability modelling and performance reporting that influences meaningful outcomes for healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial and operational models
• Support forecasting, reporting and performance analysis
• Conduct scenario modelling and business case analysis
• Identify sustainability and performance opportunities
• Analyse financial, workforce and operational data
• Present insights to clinical and operational leaders
• Support strategic planning and service redesign projects
• Build strong relationships across the organisation
• Deliver evidence-based recommendations to decision makers

Skills & Experience

• Experience in financial analysis, business analysis or performance analytics
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret large and complex datasets
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience presenting insights to diverse audiences
• Ability to translate complex data into meaningful recommendations
• A proactive, curious and continuous improvement mindset

Desirable:

• Experience with Power BI, SQL or data visualisation tools
• Healthcare sector experience
