Counsellor

Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Counsellor to support learner wellbeing. The successful candidate will provide counselling and guidance, working closely with internal teams and trusted community partners to help learners feel supported, empowered, and able to thrive. The role is a fixed-term opportunity to cover parental leave until May 2027.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide counselling- one‑to‑one support across campuses
- Facilitate workshops- wellbeing sessions for groups
- Support wellbeing events- help create safe, positive spaces
- Assess and triage- identify needs and guide next steps
- Maintain records- confidential and accurate documentation
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Counselling qualification- tertiary degree endorsed for NZAC
- NZAC membership- full or provisional
- 3-5 years experience- ideally in social services
- Community networks- strong local relationships
- Technical capability- confident with systems and admin
