    Sedco Engineering has been proudly supporting the rural community since 2003. Known for quality, innovation and integrity, Sedco builds and refurbishes agricultural machinery and equipment tailored to New Zealand farming needs.

We're currently looking for a practical, hands-on team member  to join Sedco Engineering's small, friendly team in Pahiatua, working 7.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in doing a job well. You may have experience in assembly work, construction, farming, engineering, panel beating, painting, plastering, or simply be a keen DIY person who enjoys building, fixing and creating things.

What the Role Involves

  • Assembling agricultural machinery and equipment
  • Preparing surfaces for painting and finishing
  • Sanding, filling and general finishing work
  • Assisting with spray painting and coating work
  • Quality checking finished products
  • Maintaining tools and equipment
  • Working closely with the engineering team
  • Helping where needed across the workshop

 

What We're Looking For

  • A practical, hands-on person with a good work ethic
  • Someone who enjoys working with tools and machinery
  • Good attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take direction
  • A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience with assembly, plastering, painting, construction, farming, engineering or similar trades is an advantage, but not essential
  • Forklift licence is a bonus, but not required
