Letting Agent

ABOUT THE ROLE
A letting agent is the expert coordinator between prospective tenants and available rental properties.
This is a customer delivery role both in office and physically showing properties at appointments. From a new listing, where you will liaise with the Property Manager to ascertain the property information, write the advert and post the listing - ensuring you update all relevant records.
You will be the first contact for prospective tenants, enquiring about properties and setting up viewings. You will keep accurate records of the viewings, attendees and assess resulting applications, alongside the property manager.
You will provide shortlisted applicant information to the landlord and follow through with tenancy agreements and all applicable compliance. Once the property has been let successfully, this will then be managed by the Property Manager.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a customer service role
- Professional communication skills - both written and verbal
- Outstanding organisational ability - you thrive with juggling competing demands and managing your own schedule. Experience in a similar context would be advantageous
- Accurate administration and process proficiency
- Full drivers licence is essential
- Experience in the industry is not a requirement, though solid transferable skills are what we are after
This is a full time, 40 hour week, 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday in Central Palmerston North.
This is a 'on site' position, not offering work from home as a regular schedule.
