About the role

Noske Rail is seeking a Finance Manager to lead all financial management and reporting functions. This diverse and hands-on role also oversees IT, HR, and Administration. You'll work closely with the General Manager and leadership team to support informed decision-making for operational success.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Lead monthly and annual financial reporting
  • Coach and support the finance team to build capability
  • Collaborate with the GM and senior managers on budgets and strategy
  • Manage GST, Payroll Tax and other tax obligations across NZ and Australia
  • Prepare cashflow forecasting and drive improvements in working capital
  • Streamline processes and drive performance improvements initiatives

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • CA or AT preferred with strong commercial accounting expertise
  • Proven leadership capability - able to inspire and coach others
  • Strong technical accounting and systems expertise
  • Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Strong communicator with effective stakeholder relationship skills
  • Process-minded high performer with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Resilient and capable of leading through complexity and challenges
