RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project contributors, service providers, and local businesses to achieve shared outcomes
  • Analyse reports and stakeholder feedback to identify candidate skill sets, project skill gaps, and forecast workforce needs
  • Act as a strategic liaison focused on broader workforce development outcomes
  • Coordinate events and promotions to boost engagement and access to opportunities
  • Identify and support relevant training pathways while streamlining services to ensure easier workforce program access

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Well-connected in the Horowhenua region and passionate about your local community
  • Understanding of or experience with tikanga Māori and working in culturally grounded contexts, would be highly advantageous
  • Proven ability to build and sustain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on long-term workforce and community development
  • Excellent communication and people skills-confident across written, verbal, and face-to-face interactions
  • Full, clean drivers licence required
