Credit Controller

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a diligent and empathetic Credit Controller
to join the team at the Diocese of Palmerston North. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the dues management system, ensuring timely collection of attendance dues, and building respectful relationships with families, schools, and parishes. Your strong communication skills and attention to detail will ensure the Diocese continues to support Catholic education effectively and compassionately.

RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Proactively contact families to collect attendance dues and arrange suitable payment plans.
- Maintain accurate debtor records and update the dues management system regularly.
- Respond to enquiries from families, schools, and parishes in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise with schools to resolve unmatched records and ensure accurate enrolment data.
- Process payments, enrolments, and issue amended assessments as required.
- Support team operations, contribute to continuous improvements, and uphold Diocesan policies.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in credit control, debt collection, or accounts receivable
- High attention to detail and strong administrative skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Empathetic and professional approach when dealing with sensitive financial matters
- Confident using databases and Microsoft Office tools
- Experience working in education, community, or faith-based organisations is advantageous
