We have a great opportunity for an Accountant to join a small but effective team of 5, located in the central city area, with this role having the ability to be either part time or full time.

We are seeking someone who has intermediate to advanced accounting abilities to enable them to come on board and start straight away in the role.

Support and training will be offered on systems, however ideally we are seeking someone who has MYOB (AE, Essentials and Reporter) experience and should you also know Xero, this would be an advantage.

Duties for the position include:

  • Coding of bank statements/cash books
  • Prepare end-of-year journal entries
  • Reconciling balance sheet items
  • Reviewing income and expense items
  • Preparing taxation returns for companies, trusts, individuals and partnerships
  • Formatting of MYOB reports
  • GST returns
  • Wages/PAYE returns
  • General accounting and administration office duties
