Recruiting is a simple idea (find the best person and hire them) but complex to implement well consistently. 

We have all had those golden nugget moments where an amazing employee just happens to come along when you need them most. If it was that easy all the time Recruiters, HR Advisors and Employment Branding wouldn't exist at all! And where is the fun in that?

Recruitment Myth Two:

This is one of my pet Recruitment Myths. The Myth is that an employer believes they will get the best person for their role faster by using more than one recruitment agency.

This occurs because most recruiters work on a contingency fee - meaning they only get paid if they fill a vacancy! It also means the best recruiter may NOT GET PAID!

Senior managers often delegate recruitment to less senior staff when they need a job recruited. These staff are given the job requirements, the expected outcome and taught the process to follow. 

Faith in "system for the systems sake" is Recruitment Myth Three.
